New Zealander Logan Burke, who resides in Perth, Australia, offered a burglar a glass of water after he and his flat-mates managed to subdue him.
Burke, who is 1.93m tall, woke up to a man going through his room at 2am. He then pretended to be asleep and launched a surprise attack.
After calling for his flat-mates, Burke and his friends managed grab hold of the situation and restrict him to a chair, with the intruder pleading for mercy.
“He started throwing punches at me so I defended myself,” Burke told the West Australian.
“We sat him down but he kept trying to punch us and he pleaded with us to let him go, claiming he had warrants and his mum had cancer so he just needed money.”
However, before the police arrived, the criminal said he was asthmatic, which prompted the 19-year-old to offer him a glass of water.
