Video: Kiwi lands gig in the White House alongside Trump

New Zealander Chris Liddell has been appointed United States president Donald Trump’s chief of staff.

The 59-year-old has served as the chief financial officer of General Motors and Microsoft.

“I’m sure that he will be mindful of the US relationship with New Zealand. But ultimately he has been employed to do a job that is much larger than that. Let’s see what it means for us,” said New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern.
