It’s going to be a busy year, so you better be ready!
The annual Sunday winter league kicks off in a few weeks, on the 7th of February to be exact and takes place at Clapham Common. There are four separate categories you can get involved in, namely men’s, ladies, and two mixed divisions (competitive and social).
There are still positions available in all divisions, so get your team entry in early or you’ll miss out. Individual players are always welcome to sign up and play in the division they feel would best suit their needs and abilities.
New players do not have to worry, as this is an all-round social league and the best time to get started and playing touch is now.
Touch in England is being taken a little bit more seriously each year. There are many National Competitions that are attracting more and more players. However, you can’t always be too focused and everyone needs to have a little fun.
That is where In2Touch and O2Touch come in. The leagues are designed so that you can enjoy a nice social or competitive game of touch, depending on what you choose, and then head to the local pub afterwards to mingle with the teams and players over a refreshing drink.
Gigalum in Clapham and GJ’s in Wandsworth have been at the heart of In2Touch’s social offering for many years, with teams heading there after the day’s play.
Both GJ’s and Gigalum are once again making sure all rugby fans are accommodated for and this winter they will be showing all 15 RBS Six Nations games LIVE, starting on the 6th of February when England take on Scotland at Murrayfield.
They do get busy when sporting events are on, so contact the pubs today and book your table to enjoy the live action, whether you are participating in the leagues or just a sports fan.
