The amount of effort that has gone into making Touch known to the English public over the past decade by In2Touch, England Touch, and more recently the RFU and O2 Touch, has made a huge impact to get the game out right across the country, and today we have over 275 O2 Touch centres across the country.
In a recent article published by the Sports Industry Group it was announced that the number of registered players had hit 12,000 participants. This is an amazing achievement and shows the Touch in England has taking off and there are no plans to stop the flight any time soon.
To continue the good feelings the Rugby World Cup will leave behind, In2Touch in London have not let the spirit die as we continue to give the people of London the chance to get involved and play this amazing sport.
We are in the penultimate week of our Sunday autumn league and have kicked off the second season of the Active Touch league. This is an indoor sport that combines a variety of sports, like touch, netball and basketball, and is a great way to keep active in the colder months of the year.
Then there is the Christmas Shootout league that begins on 15 November 2015. This is another Sunday league taking place in Clapham Common and is another of the shootout leagues that have become very popular over the past year.
It’s only a four-week league, ending on the 6 December 2015, with a dress up finals day. All teams are encouraged to bring their Christmas spirit and come dressed to kick start the festivities.
To get involved as an individual or to register a team, head on over the In2Touch website and get a head start on your new years resolution of getting fit by playing touch.
