DUMPED New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor will end his international exile in time for the home series against England in February.
Taylor made himself unavailable for the Black Caps’ tour to South Africa after New Zealand Cricket made a mess of his removal from the top spot.
He was replaced by Brendon McCullum.
Taylor took to Twitter to say he would be back shortly.
“All the best to the @BLACKCAPS for the second test. Looking forward to working my way back for the home series against England,” he told followers.
His return can’t come soon enough for New Zealand, who were humiliated in the first test against the Proteas after being dismissed for 45 in the first innings of the test, which they went on to lose heavily.
New Zealand will play England in three Twenty20s, three ODIs and three tests starting on February 9.
The second test against South Africa started today.
