The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is also the biggest gathering of comedy performers in the world, where acts seek fame, fortune and accolades for their work. Preparing shows for the marathon that is the Edinburgh Fringe is vital, so when they arrive in Edinburgh they can hit the ground running.
Barking Mad Comedy is lucky enough to represent three excellent Kiwi Comics here in the UK and, by kind invitation of Lee Hurst’s Backyard Comedy Club, is hosting a night of ‘mostly’ Kiwi acts to showcase their Edinburgh shows.
TJ McDonald has been nominated for the Billy T award twice, in 2010 & 2012, and had been seen on TV3’s “7 Days” & “Jono & Ben”. TJ will be hosting the evening.
Rhys Mathewson won the Billy T Award in 2010 and has recently been seen in NZ on TVNZ’s “Best Bits”. Rhys will be showcasing his new NZ Festival hit show “Homre Lobo”
Benjamin Crellin – New Zealand’s “Dark Night”, and undisputed king of sharp, intelligent, thought provoking satire, brings his new show to the UK.
Jollyboat are a wonderfully irreverent musical duo from the UK and will round off the evening. Their light hearted, high energy silliness received 5* reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2011 and the same year they were recommended by The Independent as one of the Top 5 acts to see on the Free Fringe
