Find love and work with Try Tag Rugby!

With Valentine’s Day approaching soon, plenty of couples will be looking to wine and dine their significant other


If you’re single and you have no plans, don’t despair as the Try Tag Rugby Valentine’s Day Challenge will be a great event to be involved with, in which you may even find love.

On Saturday 14th February, 20 single male and 20 single female players will take to the pitch at Coram’s Fields in Russell Square, an excellent central London venue with first class facilities.

The Valentine’s Day Challenge tournament will be an extremely social Tag Rugby event for singles, where you get the chance to play and meet numerous different players, with all playing standard levels welcome. Afterwards, we will then proceed to the nearby Perseverance Pub, where cupid arrows may fly! The after match function will feature nibbles and a glass of bubbly on arrival and the chance to win over someone’s heart.


At the inaugural Valentine’s Day Challenge in 2014, there were numerous hook ups and one relationship from the event was formed and is still going strong to this day! What are you waiting for singles, get involved!

With only limited spaces available, make sure to register ASAP if you wish to play in the 2015 Valentine’s Day Challenge. The cost is £25 per player which includes a professionally run Tag tournament, great central London venue, free nibbles and bubbly, free entry into a local night spot plus the chance to win some great prizes!

In other news, Try Tag Rugby who is the UK’s leading Tag Rugby organisation is now hiring. Try Tag Rugby is a young vibrant company which experienced tremendous growth of 33% in participation numbers in 2014, with a peak of 248 teams participating in their competitions throughout summer.

In 2015, team numbers are anticipated to increase across London & Reading with leagues also set to launch in Yorkshire. With the backing of a National Governing Body and the International Tag Federation, Try Tag Rugby has ambitious plans to launch throughout all parts of the UK in the coming years.

Try Tag Rugby currently have four positions available which include two competition supervisors, a full-time Office Manager and a full-time driver / portable floodlights expert / referee. All of which will be based in London.

Meanwhile, the upcoming spring season commences from the 23rd of February onward at 12 venues across the capital. With a large number of teams set to return from their winter breaks, places at some venues will be extremely tight and will run at full capacity.

Spring competition registrations are now open with leagues taking place at the following venues: Acton, Barnes, Battersea, Borough, Clapham, East London RFC, Haggerston, Highbury/Shoreditch, Olympic Park, Rotherhithe, Shoreditch & Tooting Bec.

New team, part-team and individual registrations are welcome; with leagues catering for the absolute beginner right up to the elite level.
