While training and teaching at the Karen Hardy Dance Studios in the UK, Brian Dibnah and Sarah Nolan have been happy to be picked by the Michele Keffen Dancewear luxury brand.
“We liked Brian and Sarah from the first time we spotted them on the dance floor at the UK Open in Bournemouth,” said designer Michele Keffen when questioned why she had picked them.
“They had a certain extra sparkle that is often the sign of dancers who are going somewhere. When we met them we were very impressed with their work ethic and their upbeat attitude to life in general and we have become very fond of them. Both my husband (David) and I think that they will be the ones to watch in years to come.”
South-African born fashion designer Michele moved to the UK in 1999 and married designer and photographer David. They have been working together in fashion ever since and are now an emerging dancewear brand.
“We like Southern Hemisphere people,” says David. “We plan to export our garments to New Zealand in the near future and will try to keep shipping costs to a minimum, as we know this is often a problem for Kiwi dancers who would like to buy a British brand. We also have a wicked new practice wear label that we are working on that will be very reasonably priced and high quality.”
Brian and Sarah just won the Open Adult Latin title at the 64th New Zealand Open Dance Championships 2014 and are pleased about their new partnership with Keffen.
