The New Zealand Society will be celebrating their history which spans some 88 years, as well as acknowledging the 175th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi at their annual Charity Ball in London.

Highlights will include the presentation of the 2015 UK New Xealander of the Year Award, a Charity Raffle and Silent Auction with proceeds going to the New Zealand Society’s Charitable Fund, and of course, an evening filled with New Zealand wine and food.

Waitangi Day Circle Line Pub Crawl

Waitangi Pub crawl

A great place to meet Kiwis as they take over the streets on 7 February. Traditionally the crawl kicks off at The Pride of Paddington Pub at 10am, but many start in Bayswater or at Notting Hill Gate. Kiwis can walk or catch the Circle line from pub to pub. After the Haka at 4pm in Westminster, the official after party kicks off at The Temple Brew House where Werewhakāwi, a new Kiwi ale has been specially brewed for the event.

Waitangi Day classic movies and Haka demonstration

Kiwis in London, Clapham Grand and KIL will host a special Waitangi Day event on 7 February with two classic Kiwi films, Once Were Warriors and What We Do in the Shadows. The evening includes a Haka workshop and plenty of your favourite NZ drinks, food and goodies. From 8.30pm, Jayson Norris will be spinning classic NZ tunes and from 10pm serious Kiwi clubbers will remain dancing until the early hours of the morning.
