The European Commission has recognised Severn Wye Energy Agency’s Warm and Well campaign as runner-up for the 2014 ManagEnergy Local Energy Action Award.

The ManagEnergy Award, specially designed for energy agencies and local and regional authorities, has been given to the Polish project Energy self-sufficient Commune of Kisielice of the Commune of Kiselice. The Severn Wye Energy Agency from the UK and the Andalusian Energy Agency from Spain were recognised as runners-up for their respective projects.

ManageEnergy Awards: Regional and local public authorities have an essential role to play in achieving Europe’s 2020 climate and energy objectives. Also in its 8th edition, the ManagEnergy Award is expressly designed to reward their achievements. This year’s ManagEnergy Award focuses on local and regional public authorities and energy agencies that are addressing fuel poverty, implementing renewable energy projects or innovative financing schemes for sustainable energy actions.

This event, first launched by the European Commission in 2006, I an internationally recognised, high profile event that brings together key stakeholders from across the EU and beyond.
