The Festival sold out in the weeks leading up to the event and the day was a great success, with participants enjoying a beautiful glimpse of summer with large periods of sunshine before the heavens opened towards the end of the day.

The annual Festival has seen teams increase from 30 in 2014, 37 in 2015, with this year’s tournament a sell-out at 50 teams. Over 500 players took part as Try Tag Rugby made the Wasps training ground their home, creating 11 pitches for the matches.

Teams battled it out across two tiers, with three divisions in each tier, Cup, Plate and Bowl.

Big winners at the Festival were Sharks who won a closely fought contest against Tumeke for the Tier 1 Cup.

Meanwhile the Tier 1 Male Player of the Tournament was awarded to Alex Coombs (Donkey Punchin’ Kangaroos) and the Female Player of the Tournament was awarded to Louise Larkin (Breaking Snatchers).

The Tier 2 Male Player of the Tournament was awarded to Emeric Trossat (Paris Tag Rugby Club) and the Female Player of the Tournament was awarded to Rosie Paget (Seven Deadly Spins).
