The festival will feature a qualifying or group phase, followed by a knockout phase where teams will compete for the Cup, Plate, Bowl or Shield, allowing your team to play at their correct level. There will also be a separate A-grade competition, open to teams looking for a consistently higher level of competition all day.

With the 2014 Wasps Tag Rugby Festival featuring 30 teams, this year’s event is set to attract as many as 40 teams which will make for an exciting tournament and a fun day out.

After the tournament, players can enjoy a bite to eat and some beverages at the Wasps onsite bar before busting out some moves on the club house dance floor where the DJ will play all your favourite tunes.

The cost to enter a team at the 2015 Wasps Tag Rugby Festival is £160 a team. If you don’t have a team, you can also enter as an individual and be placed in a team with the entry being £20 per individual.

Spring season underway

The Try Tag Rugby spring leagues kicked off this week across London and with numerous teams returning from their winter breaks, each venue is running at either full capacity or very close to it.

All the leagues which kick off this week are at full capacity (Borough, Olympic Park & Rotherhithe) except the Barnes Thursday league which has room for just one more team.

The mighty Bite the Bullet will be looking for a good outing at the first one day tournament of the year.

Some of the leagues kicking off next week have also reached full capacity (Tooting Bec, Shoreditch Tues, Shoreditch Wed & Highbury/Shoreditch Thurs) with space still available at the following venues; Battersea (Mon), Highbury/Shoreditch (Mon), East London (Thurs) & Clapham Common (Sat).

Although some of the spring leagues have sold out for team spaces, there may still be room for individual registrations to join established teams in these leagues.

Spring league registration is open for teams, part teams and individuals looking to be placed in a team. The majority of leagues have divisions to cater for the various playing standards, ranging from the complete beginner right up to the elite level. New players are welcome.
