NZ cities outrank UK cities, proving that life is a whole lot better in NZ

But just how much better are we talking?

It’s no surprise that the grass is greener in Auckland and Wellington, with both cities featuring in the top 20 in the Mercer 2015 Quality of Living survey. London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Belfast do not even crack the top 20, or even 30 top cities.

The rankings cover 230 destinations for globally mobile talent. Each city’s ranking is determined by the following factors:

1. Political and social environment
2. Economic environment
3. Socio-cultural environment
4. Medical and health considerations
5. School and education
6. Public services and transportation
7. Recreation
8. Consumer goods
9. Housing
10. Natural environment

Here’s how cities in NZ ranked compared to cities in the UK
