New Zealand’s Lady of Soul in London

At last, the lonely days are over for blues fans. MaKuini brings Etta James to life next month in London.

Fans of Billie Holiday, Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse are going to be delighted by kiwi soul singer and by International West End vocalist MaKuini.

Next month in London she’ll be performing in At Last – The Etta James Story, a show paying tribute to the Blues legend. The show chronicles James’ turbulent life and features her greatest hits, including the timeless classic “At Last”.

Hailing from the village of Jerusalem, on the WhanganuiRiver, MaKuini performed all around the world before settling in England. When not performing Etta James tracks she produces albums of her own, and if her track “Corporate Man” doesn’t impress, then you may not know your blues from your bootstraps.

MaKuini is performing At Last – The Etta James Story at the Bulls Head in Barnes, Monday 19th May at 8pm. Tickets are £10.
