New independent travel website started by Kiwis

Started by a bunch of Kiwi travellers, OE Travel Blogs is quickly growing into a trusted and authoritative source of independent travel information.

A new initiative is helping people effectively plan and enjoy their holidays by providing first-hand vetted information on destinations around the world.

Launched in June 2011 by a group of New Zealanders (and a few token Aussies, to fetch the beers) who had ‘done time’ living in London – using the city as a travel hub to see the world – OE Travel Bloggers provides travel reviews, advice and tips about locations, tour companies, places of interest, hotels and transport after personally experiencing a destination.

The website is quickly growing into a trusted and authoritative source of independent travel information for destinations in more than 50 countries.

“Travelling opens your eyes to new cultures and sights you will never forget and you’ll make some great lifelong friends along the way,” OE Travel Blogs’ kiwi CEO, Nicholas Kruger told New Zealand Times.

“Travel reviews are powerful. They mold the traveller’s decision making processes and set expectations for their holiday,” he said.

“Ensuring the authenticity and currency of information on the site is our number one objective. This is why OE Travel Blogs actively vets every post and responds quickly to people seeking and providing information” added Mr Kruger.

OE Travel Blogs, located at, provide a range of additional services to travellers including an online travel forum to connect with like-minded travellers, general travel advice and tips, competitions and a gift shop.

Travel reviews are added daily and guest bloggers are welcome.
