A NEW networking and social group, “Australian and New Zealand Lawyers in London” has been established to help New Zealand and Australian lawyers working in London forge career connections beyond their firms or companies.

The group’s founder, Michelle Witton, is a dual Australian/UK qualified lawyer working in-house at a FTSE-listed mining company.

“There’s a real need for New Zealand and Australian lawyers working in London to network more and establish professional contacts which can be helpful in London and if we return to Australia or New Zealand,” said Michelle.

“There’s lots of enthusiasm for the group. It’ll be a social and networking community for antipodean lawyers working in London and a welcoming face for those coming to London.”

Australian and New Zealand Lawyers in London will hold a monthly networking drinks in central London, and occasional seminars and events. The group is sponsored by Taylor Root. Membership is free and through joining the group’s site on LinkedIn.

The next networking drinks will be for Anzac Day on April 25  in central London.

See the group’s page on www.linkedin.com for more details.
