Walkabout to open in Clapham Junction
Good news for sports and snakies fans south of the river - the Walkie is set to open in Clapham Junction this week!

Australian-themed sports bar, Walkabout will be opening its doors in Clapham Junction from Friday - 28th May.
The new Walkabout will be located just off Battersea Rise, on Lavender Gardens, where The Rise bar used to be. The upstairs entertainment venue, Highlight, remains unchanged and will continue to host live stand-up comedy on a Friday and Saturday night, and live music and events throughout the rest of the week.
With the World Cup only a couple of weeks away, the venue is gearing up to show every kick of every game on 15 HD TVs around the bar (including one in the beer garden) and a three metre projection screen. Combine that with commentary that’s always loud enough to be heard and extra staff to ensure you’re served quickly, there’s nowhere better to watch the games.
To help fans guarantee the perfect world cup experience, Walkabout is offering a selection of pre-booked packages, guaranteeing entry to a reserved area with prime view of the massive HD screens. Some packages also include dedicated service and free food and drink.
Walkabout is just as famous for its live music and party atmosphere. Most nights of the week see live music from the best party bands and big-name DJs in the UK. They’ll play the latest rock, pop, party, commercial dance, RnB and indie hits plus the best anthems from the last three decades, creating a the fantastic atmosphere for which the Walkies are renouned
