Join a Kiwi Blue Badge Guide for a guided walk in London’s Westminster including Green Park war memorials that celebrates many remarkable stories behind the contribution and sacrifice of countries in the former British Empire during the ‘Great War’. Over two million troops from Britain’s Empire, colonies and dominions rose to the challenge to help defend the Mother Country in 1914. Their contribution in the First World War was vital to victory, but the debt worked the other way as well. Far-flung colonies were brought into the wider world and learned lessons in self-identity and nationhood.
