Anzac Day Walking Tour

A guided walk in the area of London’s Green Park war memorials telling the remarkable stories behind the contribution and sacrifice of these countries in the ‘Great War’.

Led by a London Blue Badge tourist guide, this walking tour has been scheduled to celebrate ANZAC Day. Over two million troops from Britain’s Empire, colonies and dominions rose to the challenge to help defend the Mother Country in 1914. Their contribution in the First World War was vital to victory, but the debt worked the other way as well. Far-flung colonies were brought into the wider world and learned lessons in self-identity and nationhood.
